It is with much pride and pleasure that the IAF announces that the Art of Falconry is recognized as a Masterpiece of the Intangible Heritage in Belgium and inscribed on the Inventory List of Intangible Heritage in the two Communities of Belgium. More info here |

International Falconry Field Meeting in the Czech Republic in Opocno Castle |

International Falconry Field Meeting in the Czech Republic in Opocno Castle will be held on October 7th-11th. About 100 falconers will be hunting in 10 groups (eagles, goshawks/harrises and falcons) on 30 hunting grounds for 3 days 8th-10th. Foreign falconers and visitors are welcomed. Details about the registration and the meeting will be available in July 2008 at the website http://www.sokolnictvi.net . Accommodation will be automatically reserved by Czech Falconry Club for all registered falconers. |

After its successful launch in 2007, the Festival of Falconry will take place on 11th - 12th July 2009 at the same place - Englefield Estate, Theale, Near Reading, England. Over 30 nations around the world are expected and invitations will be also issued to the UNESCO Committee responsible for the Intangible Cultural Heritage programme, to which the United Arab Emirates are making a submission on behalf of Arab falconry and other selected falconry nations. Both IAF AGM and the Festival will make make this an extraordinary joined event. |
