60th Anniversary International Falconry Field Meeting in Falkenstein castle in Austria on 13th to 17th October 2010
 
The OFB (Austrian Falconers Association) was founded in 1950 and is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. We will do so in style with an outstanding fieldmeeting in the heart of some of Europe's best hunting grounds. We are planning to have 3 full days of hunting around of 'Falkenstein', which is the official venue.
 
In addition to our anniversary we are also celebrating the recognition of Austrian Falconry as a National Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Numerous VIPs from national and international politics as well as UNESCO officials are expected to follow our invitation and participate in our celebrations.
 
The OFB will do its utmost to maintain its falconry standard and represent falconry as a cultural heritage at this fieldmeet.

The AGM IAF meet in Slovakia will be held following the Czech and Austrian Falconer’s Field Meets, as the largest gathering of falconers in Central Europe. Delegates can plan their attendance to both large events and then be transferred to Slovakia.

6.-10.10.2010 – The Czech Republic Falconry Club National Field Meet in Opočno
14.-17.10.2010 – 60th anniversary of Austrian Falconers’ Club

The unique Falconers Meet for IAF delegates will start on 17th of October in the city of Kezmarok-Vrbov, in the foothills of the High Tatras Mountains. This is for those who are interested to see a specialized falconry style, the hunting of Roe Deer and Fox by Golden Eagles.  On the evening of 19th of October, an AC meeting can be held in a Slovak cottage style restaurant during the Eagle Hunters Meet.  All delegates will be transferred, also by Slovak delegates, south-west to the village of Diakovce, where at the Thermal Spa Resort, a National Slovak Falconers Meet will be held together with the IAF Meeting.
Evenings will be dedicated to meetings and parties in a large tent designed as a Slovak countryside village.  Every delegate is welcome to join these large events and stay as long they can afford.  We planned a daily fee of 75 EURO covering accommodation, food, local transfers in hunting fields and permits for hunting ground.  The AGM is planned as a friendly relaxed gathering with lots of opportunity to see real falconry and hunting. 

Schengen Visas are required for Slovakia as it is a member nation of the European Union.  Your Travel Agency can advise on obtaining these visas, if needed, and letters of invitation will be provided by the Slovak Falconry Club on request.  See contact details below.

The weather will be mild, 5-8⁰C in the mornings and 15-18⁰C during the day.  Participants are advised to have raincoats and boots for the field and also remember to bring swimming clothes for the Thermal Spar.

Dear Falconers,

We would like to invite you to our annual 36th Polish Field Meeting that will be held in southern Poland from 14th to 18th October, 2009. The area is very picturesque and has a large number of hares, pheasants and partridges (in October only pheasants and partridges can be hunted). The field meet lasts 4 days (including 3 days of hunting).
