Linda Jones ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ): good work

I think what you are doing is admirable. Our birds of prey need protecting as do all plants and animals over the long term in this world. I don't like them being kept in captivity and hooded so much but if that's helping more of them to survive and reproduce that's a positive.

Guest ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ): Falconry Display

Help - I am in a kind of moral dilemma.

I would like a falconery display at my wedding reception. The grounds are walled and very quiet. However my local centre does not travel with birds so I if I want a display the company I pick will have to travel.

I am stuck between loving the idea of these beautiful birds being shown to our guests and enouraging our knowledge of wildlife and on the other hand wondering if it is exploitation of these wonderful creatures and not liking the idea of them being caged for travel. I am also not sure how I feel about animals and birds being required to perform.

I have seen displays in the past and always have mixed feelings. Anyone got any comments that might help?

Dongkwan Kim ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ): Making a documentary about falconry

Hi,

Nice to be in contact with you. My name is Dongkwan Kim, a TV producer of EBS (Educational Broadcasting System), Seoul, Korea.  I am in the course of making a documentary about falconry. I have already almost finished the falconry of Korea. All the procedures of catching a wild goshawk, training it and hunting pheasants with it would be shown in the documentary. Now I am planning to make another film of the falconry of other countries additionally.  What I am interested in is the falconry of Bedouin tribes who practice falconry as means of living upon which to depend. Would anyone be so kind as to let me know the falconers well fitted for my documentary? Especially Bedouin falconers in Tunisia, Algeria or Morocco would be best. Of course Bedouin falconers in the Middle East area would also be O.K. If you are in the position of introducing the very man for my documentary to me, please do not hesitate to contact with me.  I would appreciate your contact with me.

Thanks!
