June 16th-17th 2008 - UNESCO Falconry workshop, France, Paris, Mercure hotel. Over 20 countries will present their contributions towards the possible UNESCO intangible cultural heritage submission.

October 13th-18th 2008 - International Falconry Field Meeting in Canada, Weyburn, Saskatchewan. Details will follow from the Saskatchewan Falconry Association, who will be organizing the meet. For more details contact Mark Williams, NAFA Canadian Director to markwilliams_1@hotmail.com

Monday 14th - Sunday 20th of July 2008 - IAF annual General Meeting in South Africa - Thaba Nchu, hosted by The South African Falconry Association - SAFA http://www.safalconry.org.za . The official part of IAF AGM is not open for general public, however at he same time SAFA Annual Field Meeting will be held to which falconers from all over the world are invited. Booking for accommodation is to be made directly with the hotel http://www.proteahotels.com/blackmountain asking for special rate for falconry meeting. Detailed info will be sent by e-mail, but if you do not receive the AGM registration e-mail by mid February 2008 and you are IAF delegate or official IAF guest, please contact Adrian Lombard on lombarda@mweb.co.za for additional info. March 8th 2008 - International Symposium for Conservation of Birds of Prey in Japan - Nagoya. A part of Japanese Birds of Prey is under the control of The Ministry of Environment of Japan as endangered species. The species are conserved by the several actions as follows: investigation of the population, preservation of the habitat, restriction of capture, enactment of the conservation laws.  More info about symposium are here. Symposium has been very successful approaching number of 100 participants including important persons such as staffs of several government office, corporation, teachers, zoo, veterinarian, researcher and citizens.

October 8th-12th 2008 - International Falconry Field Meeting in the Czech Republic - Opocno castle. Hunting days of this 41th meeting will be 9th-11th. Foreign falconers and visitors are welcomed. Details about the registration and the meeting will be available in July 2008 at www.sokolnictvi.net Accommodation will be automatically reserved by Czech Falconry Clubs for all registered falconers.

November 27th - December 2nd 2007 - IAF annual General Meeting in France organised by French falconry association ANFA http://www.anfa.net . The IAF AGM is not open for general public. Website changes and updating of contact lists are almost completed and we are now in a position to send out the first E-news bulletin for some time. Since the 2006 AGM in November 2006 the AC have been extremely busy with an average of four items under discussion at any one time, many of them requiring urgent action. Download PDF
